Clay represents a profound connection to the earth, embodying our roots, ancestry, and the wisdom of grounding and reciprocity. My goal is for my work to inspire a reconnection with the earth, our ultimate source and final return.
Through my ceramic practice, I engage in an intimate, meditative dialogue with the material, linking me to ancient traditions and the women who shaped clay vessels in the past. This process is both a journey of self-healing and a way to release anxiety, sorrow, and anger.
By hand-building with clay, I reject the rapid, impersonal production methods of capitalism. Instead, I embrace a slow, intentional practice that nurtures my primal, wild self. My work becomes a space for radical dreaming and reimagining a more holistic world.
